 Scythe
The Scythe-class cruiser is the oldest Minmatar ship still in use. It has seen many battles and is an integrated part in Minmatar tales and heritage. Recent firmware upgrades "borrowed" from the Caldari have vastly increased the efficiency of its mining output.

Special Ability: 20% bonus to mining laser yield per level. 3.5% bonus to tracking links per level. 500% bonus to range of tracking links.

This is the setup I've been using while gearing up for barges. Ideal skills are Mining V, Astrogeology V, Min Cruiser IV. Cruiser V will net yield greater than the cargo hold, so you can skip it unless you're fond of drag & drop.
